Growing in popularity,
these bamboo floors are really stunning, with the natural knuckle of the bamboo
giving it the look and the fine grains of the vertical face. Being a vertical
cut creates a narrow petit knuckle on the face of the floor board. The carbonized
colour is similar to that of Oak,
and is not a stain but a colour that goes through the full top layer.
This is achieved by steaming as with the sugar content of bamboo it
caramelizes with steam and changes colour. (Similar to condensed milk
which is naturally white but once boiled and the tin opened it also
changes to a brownish colour).

Bamboo flooring is similar in hardness to that
of Oak, Bamboo is a green product and is an excellent alternative to
hard wood flooring.
The Suntups Super-Engineered™ Bamboo
flooring is engineered with a solid 4mm Bamboo topface which is the same
topface that a solid bamboo would have but due to the floor being
Super-Engineered™ lessens movement in the boards giving an extremely
stable floor. |
